Questions worth asking before you hire anyone.

Straight answers about how we work, what things cost, how long they take, and what happens when the project ends.

Getting in touch with the team

Getting started

Working with us

How much does a project cost?

It depends entirely on scope, which is why we do not publish package prices — they would be misleading. What we do is give you a written scope with a fixed price before any work begins. If your budget will not cover what you actually need, we will tell you that rather than quietly delivering a weaker version.

How long does a project take?

A focused website is usually a few weeks. A training program with custom modules is typically one to three months. Ongoing work such as social media or newsletters runs monthly. You get a timeline in the scope, and we tell you early if anything is slipping rather than at the deadline.

Do we need to be technical?

No, and most of our clients are not. Translating between technical detail and business consequence is part of the job. Everything is handed over with training so your team can run it afterwards.

What you keep

Ownership and handover

Can you work with systems we already have?

Usually, and it is normally the cheaper path. Most problems are how something was set up rather than the tool itself. If your current system genuinely is the constraint, we will explain why and let you decide.

Who owns what you build?

You do — domain, accounts, content and code. Everything is handed over with documentation. We do not retain control of client assets as a way of keeping clients.

What happens when the project ends?

You get the files, the documentation and training for your team. If you want ongoing support it is available, but it should be a choice rather than something you are locked into by design.

Do you lock clients into long contracts?

No. Ongoing work continues because it is worth continuing. If it stops being worth it, you should be able to stop.

Fit

Who we work with

Do you only work with businesses in Ottawa?

No. We are based in Kanata, Ontario, and work across Canada and internationally, with projects delivered across North America, Europe and Asia. Most work happens virtually, and travel is arranged only when it genuinely adds something.

Are we too small to be worth your time?

No. A significant part of our work is with solopreneurs and small teams. Scope and price scale down; the standard of work does not.

Do you work with non-profits and educational institutions?

Yes, regularly. Both usually mean fixed budgets and real complexity. Tell us the number you have and we will tell you honestly what is achievable within it.

Common concerns

AI and training

Is AI going to be pushed on us?

No. AI is useful in specific places and pointless in others, and we will tell you which is which. Buying tools nobody adopts is a common and expensive mistake, and we would rather not be part of it.

Can you train our staff to use AI responsibly?

Yes, and this is one of our more requested programs. It covers practical use, where judgement must stay human, and policy guidance for teams that need guardrails.

How do you measure whether training worked?

We agree what success looks like before starting, and build assessment into the program. Completion rates alone tell you very little — what matters is whether behaviour changed.

Still have a question?

Ask it directly. We will give you a straight answer, including when the answer is that we are not the right fit.
